Wow! The month of January just slid right on by, didn’t it?  I hope you had a super scrappy month!  The Crafty Neighbors had a great time at various crops around the metroplex and got to attend two stamp shows in Mesquite and Grapevine.  We’re looking forward to a whole lot more crafting fun in February and the months beyond.  Will we see you at one of these upcoming events?

Turner Orchestra Boosters and sponsored by Memory Lane Inn, this event is open to the public.   Your registration of $25 will get you a full day of cropping, two meals, goodie bag, and the chance to win one of two scrapbooking retreats provided by Memory Lane Inn (plus a whole lot more)!

May the 4th Be with You National Scrapbook Day Crop

May 4th is National Scrapbook Day, so join us for a weekend of celebrations at the Dallas Crafters Marathon.  This special event was put together with the scrapbooker and papercrafter in mind.  Event registration of $50 includes Friday-Saturday cropping (6:00p-midnight Friday, 10:00am-midnight Saturday, 10:00am-3:00pm Sunday), meals on Saturday, and lots of goodies and prizes.  See the Dallas Crafters Marathon for more details.

6th Annual Scrapbooking Cruise to Jamaica and Grand Cayman

Want to sail the Caribbean while scrapbooking the day away on one of Carnival’s newest ships?  Join us aboard the Carnival Magic for a 7-Day Scrapbooking Cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, September 22-27.  We’ll be departing the port of Galveston for an adventure you won’t want to miss.  Pricing starts at about $100 per day and includes all classes and fees.  We have a new instructor this year, Susie Moore from The Crafty Scrapper and The Dies Have It. Valerie Jackson of Close to My Heart and Creative Sanctuary is also returning, and I have to say, the classes we’re cooking up for you are FABULOUS!  Some sneak peaks will be available on our website in the coming weeks!

And don’t forget about our regular monthly events

Mother’s Day Out Crops

Join us every Thursday for a FREE daytime crop that fits the schedule of even the busiest Mom.  We’ll be exploring various crop locations throughout the metroplex including Googly Eyes and Craft Supplies (Irving), Every Last Scrap (McKinney), Personal Scrapbook (Allen), and even Crafty Neighbor Studios (Carrollton).  If there is sufficient interest, we will also add some crops on the western side of the metroplex.

3rd Wednesday Stamp Club

Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of each month for a stamp club you won’t want to miss.  Sharon Armstrong of Stampin’ Up! will lead us in one or more projects including cards, crafts, and more.  Your first visit is free; after that it’s just $25 per month to participate.  Sharon’s projects are fabulous; just one visit and you will see why she is one of the top demonstrators for Stampin’ Up! in the whole country.

Dallas Crafters' Marathon

Join the Dallas Crafters Marathon Meet-up group for the opportunity to crop all weekend once per month.  This group generally meets on the last weekend of each month (some exceptions do apply).  The fee is just $25 for Friday-Saturday cropping and is open to crafting of all kinds including scrapbooking, jewelry-making, sewing, knitting and crochet, quilting, painting, and much more.  See the Dallas Crafters Marathon for more details.
